PS Cloud take me away!

Posted on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in Technology

So there are rumors floating around about the Sony PS Cloud. What’s it going to lead to? What’s it going to offer?

Supposedly some folks over in Sandiego know.

I’ve been watching video’s on a cloud operating system for a while, and even though the concept is gonna require a lot of work before it’s got myspace status, I sincerely like the concept. This idea has been going on as long as I remember my senior year of high school. Even way back in 97, I remember people telling me about shared resource computing. So this isn’t just some stupid fantasy my imagination hyped from origination of the internet. Nope, this is something that the networked geek denizens of the globes have been dreaming about for a while. And while it might not be perfect yet, or no where near proof of concept just yet, I still dream.

I dream of a world where you buy a small holographic box for around 100 dollars that you connect your bluetooth visors to, and you’re jacked into a world of senses that goes far beyond anything anyone has right now. I could be wrong, but if I’m right, any chance I could see this exist before I die?
